The sailors onboard the Lucky Lady are more nervous than cats in a roomful of rocking chairs. When they loaded the hull in Transylvania, they couldn't help but notice a menacing-looking crate wrapped in iron chains, waiting in the dark. No one knew how it got on board, but now odd things are happening. The handsomest cabin boy has gone missing. Sailors complain of spooky thumps and eerie wails that begin every night at midnight.
One night, a young sailor is standing watch in the crow's nest after having drawn the short straw. Prickles of fear race up and down his spine. Suddenly, he sees a dark figure standing on deck, looking up at him. The moon emerges from behind a cloud and he gasps as it illuminates the most exquisite being he's ever seen.
